An interesting piece in yesterday's New York Times about a blind engineer who works for Google. Some great insights into what into what it is like to "work blind", as well as a run down on some cutting edge mobile tools. Not surprising to learn that screen readers for smartphones are few and far between, not to mention as expensive as the smartphones themselves. We still have a long way to go to design affordable tools for the disability community...
